How does it work?

Broadband (also known as ADSL) has overtaken ‘dial-up’ as the definitive way to access the Internet. By upgrading conventional phone lines to ADSL broadband can offer customers the following key benefits:
• Much higher speeds than dial-up connections (typically 40x faster).
• The connection is always on, no need to ‘connect’ to the internet.

• The ability to utilise the same phone line for both broadband internet access and phone calls simultaneously.
• No additional call costs, just a monthly connection fee.
Broadband is only available on standard analogue (PSTN) phone line, not ISDN (digital) lines, however ISDN lines can be converted to analogue lines to accommodate broadband.
